2025 Grant awards

CHSF Board member Jack Lank presents 2025 grant award to the Hebron Food Pantry Executive Director Carissa Phillips, one of 23 grants this year.

Community Health Systems Foundation awards $732,444 to Attleboro-Taunton area nonprofits

The Community Health Systems Foundation (CHSF) announced today that it has awarded $732,444 in grants to 23 Attleboro-Taunton area nonprofit organizations that are advancing health equity and wellness. The grants come as part of the Foundation’s annual grant giving cycle, the Foundation’s fourth since its inception in 2021.

This year’s awards come at a time of rising concern among nonprofit organizations in this region and across the country about the impact of potential reductions in federal support and as health-related needs are growing. A recent MassINC survey of more than 500 Massachusetts nonprofit leadersand staff found that most expect federal policies will “make work more difficult for their nonprofits and the communities they serve.”

“The nonprofit sector of our region is doing inspiring work in the face of fast-emerging and serious challenges,” said CHSF Chair Paul Lenahan. “We are hopeful that these grants will offer some stability at a time of great stress and volatility while also sending a strong message that these organizations are worthy of support.”
